I often feel that chocolate-baked food should be lighter on sugar and heavier on chocolate. Give me all the taste! Unfortunately I am very busy this week and I now have a large Dark Chocolate Buttercream container on the table and nothing can be used.

Don't make my mistake! This will be amazing for Funfetti Celebration Cupcakes, Easy Dark Chocolate Cake, or Black Forest Cupcakes. I feel hungry just thinking about it! Let me know in the comments if you have other bright ideas for chocolate buttercream.

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter softened
  • 5 cups (630 g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp (65 g) baking cocoa
  • 10 Tbsp milk

1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment whip the butter until creamy.

2. Add the chocolate, half the sugar and half the milk. Mix together starts slowly and speeding up as it combines.

3. Put the remaining sugar and milk in and mix until well combined.

4. Use your favorite cake or cupcakes!

5. Store temperature for several days or in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.

This is a thick piping buttercream, if you prefer it is a time until it reaches the desired consistency. +++ The Teatime Baker - www.teatimebaker.com
